Candido Silva, CFO and Co-Founder of Atlas Pavers, has been running companies since he was 18 years old. He helped run his family business in Brazil, and then his own company for almost 20 years before moving to the United States in 2007. So, when Junior approached him with the idea of starting a hardscaping company in 2011, Silva didn’t hesitate.
From his previous business experience, Silva knew that reputation was everything. “That’s why we are 100% customer service oriented,” Silva explains, “What we promise customers, we’re going to do no matter what.” Silva still gets excited about customer feedback.
When he’s not working, Silva leads an active, healthy lifestyle. He’s an endurance athlete who has run several marathons and is training for his first Iron Man Triathlon. He says that the same qualities that make him a great CFO contribute to his athletic pursuits as well. Both require persistence, having long term goals, and accepting that working toward those goals is a process.
